HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS

  • All graduates and guests must provide proof that they are fully vaccinated to attend the in-person Commencement Ceremony. 
  • All graduates and guests are required to wear a mask during the Commencement Ceremony.
  • Graduates and guests should also be prepared to present an ID with proof of vaccination.

 

ACCEPTABLE PROOF OF COVID-19 VACCINATION 

  • Options for providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination include:
    • CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Card. A digital photo or photocopy of this card is also acceptable.
    • NYC COVID-19 Vaccination Record
    • NYC COVID Safe App
    • CLEARED4 CUNY ACCESS Pass
    • Excelsior Pass (or Excelsior Pass Plus)
    • Original COVID-19 vaccination record with accepted COVID-19 vaccine for immunization outside the U.S. A digital photo or photocopy of this record is NOT acceptable.

We encourage everyone to bring their original vaccination card in case of any technology issues.

ON DAY OF COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY

As you approach the New York City Public Library entrance, please be prepared to follow the instructions for security screening, and to present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, ID, and a hardcopy/digital copy of the registration confirmation email/page as your ticket.

 

                                                                                               WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU 

The New York Public Library prohibits carts, large bags, bags on wheels, backpacks, or collections of bags that are larger than 24” x 16” x 10”. Additionally, beverages, liquids, water bottles, balloons, cake, and food are not permitted in the library. The New York Public Library reserves the right to inspect any and all packages, boxes, bags, purses, backpacks or similar items (collectively, “packages”) and the contents thereof that you and your guests bring into the Library facility. Please review the New York Public Library guidelines for What to Bring with You.
