You will be a member of the FIRST official graduating class of the new CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies.
As the graduation ceremony approaches, please know that all students and faculty who elect to march at commencement must have a cap and gown. “Graduation Regalia” includes a cap, gown, and tassel. Masters’ degree students also wear a hood.

Date: Friday, June 14th, 2019
Time: 4:30pm, students and faculty are expected to arrive by 3pm
Location: Proshansky Auditorium—Concourse Level
The Graduate Center 365 5th Avenue New York, NY 10016
Please inform all guests that balloons, cake, or food cannot be brought to the ceremony. This is a CUNY Graduate Center policy and is strictly enforced.
CHECK LIST:
- Meet with advisor/confer with advisor to ensure graduation requirements are met
- Register to attend commencement
- Purchase Graduation regalia
- Attend Information Session: pick up tickets, cap and gown
- Complete Graduation Survey
- Email Commencement@slu.cuny.edu at least two (2) weeks in advance if you or your guest requires any accommodation
- Commencement day: Arrive at 3 PM, Ceremony begins at 4:30 PM
- Sign photo release form
