A member of the original group that organized LES People’s FCU. She became its first manager (1986-1991) and then worked for several years (1993-1999) with the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions (now Inclusiv) providing technical assistance to other CDCUs across the country. Ms. Levy served on the credit union’s Board of Directors from 1991 to 1999; and 2004-2005. In September 2005 she was elected Treasurer of the Board and named Acting CEO of the credit union, and finally became permanent CEO in September 2006, a position she held until December 31,2018. Ms. Levy holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and performed her Graduate Studies in Social Sciences at the University of Chicago. A community resident for 25 years, Ms. Levy has very close relationships with many community based organizations, businesses and residents.
