Joe Pierce is an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma. He holds a joint appointment in in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability of the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences and in the Division of Regional and City Planning of the College of Architecture. Trained as an urban geographer, his research interests revolve around urban politics, questions of ecology and sustainability, and the globally variegated production of urban landscapes. joe@joepierce.org
