With income inequality on the rise, race issues pervasive, and the country divided politically, what role can business leaders play in advancing economic democracy? What are the principles, practices and policies that should guide an inclusive and just economy? Panelists will discuss investment models, the nature of high road business practices, and issues of worker ownership, access to capital, and procurement.

With income inequality on the rise, race issues pervasive and country divided politically, responsible business leaders have a key role to play. Women and people of color owned are too often marginalized from the economy from the workers, new entrepreneurs, over to the executive level and the boardrooms, to How do we change this paradigm? What are the principles and practices and policies that should guide an inclusive economy from our investments, high road business practices, worker ownership, access to capital, procurement contracts, and ensuring that women and people of color are in leadership and ownership positions. We will also discuss the strategies that business leaders and investors can pursue to advance the shift in business practices and policies.
