Lauren Hudson has been a member of SolidarityNYC since 2012. A native Californian, Hudson is currently a doctoral student in Earth and Environmental Sciences at the CUNY Graduate Center, where she writes about anti-capitalist organizing among women in NYC. Her research interests focus on the Social Economy movement and on questions about its relationship to other social and political movements. She is particularly interested in comparing the narratives of workers in the SE economy with the dominant SE discourse and how the discourse itself constitutes a space for the SE movement.
