Brad Lander is a member of the New York City Council, representing the 39th District in Brooklyn and serving as the Council’s Deputy Leader for Policy. He has fought for protections against wage theft and for a fair work week and a living wage. He is also an advocate for new transit infrastructure. Lander co-founded the Council’s Progressive Caucus and is an advocate for participatory budgeting. He is the chair of Local Progress, a national network of over 800 progressive local elected officials in 45 states.
