Abby Scher, an Adjunct Associate Professor at Brooklyn College, is a New York-based sociologist and writer, whose essays on labor, economic justice, women’s and immigrant issues have appeared in such publications as The Nation and The Progressive. She is a former editor of The Public Eye and former co-editor of Dollars & Sense. As a member of the worker cooperative, Research|Action, she provides research that supports organizing campaigns conducted by the cooperative.
