Andrew Cumbers is Professor in Regional Political Economy at the Adam Smith Business School of the University of Glasgow, in Scotland. He was formerly Professor of Geographical Political Economy at the University. In 2018, Professor Cumbers received a prestigious grant from the European Research Council to do a global comparative study of re-municipalization—a global trend to restore privatized assets, infrastructure, and services to public ownership—in Argentina, Germany, and the U.S. Before coming to Glasgow, Cumbers was a researcher and lecturer in labor and economic geography at various universities in the United Kingdom, including Durham, Middlesex, and Aberdeen. andrew.cumbers@glasgow.ac.uk
