Cat Hobbs is the founder and director of We Own It, which launched in the UK in 2013. Cat set up We Own It to shift the debate on privatization. We Own It is a voice for public ownership across public services, from railways to water, from council services to the NHS. The organization has won victories, helping to stop the privatization of the Land Registry and NHS Professionals, and campaigning successfully to bring the East Coast railway line from London to Edinburgh into public ownership. Cat has appeared on Radio 4, BBC News, Sky News and in the Mirror, the Guardian and the FT. Cat ran successful campaigns for better public transport locally and nationally before setting up We Own It. She also has a background in communications.
