The SLU Learning Hub and Alumni Association are excited to welcome novelist and labor activist Esther Cohen to campus for an interactive storytelling workshop designed to build solidarity and community as you write and share a story from your life.

If you have stories to tell, but don’t know where to start, this workshop will provide the spark. Participants will be guided through a series of exercises and prompts building towards the development of a brief nonfiction story, with opportunities to support each other and share stories with the wider group.

Cohen is the author of seven books, most recently All of Us: Stories and Poems Along Route 17, which tells the stories of the intertwined lives of residents of a small town in upstate New York, and she posts a poem a day at Overheardec@substack.com.  Her website is:  esthercohen.com
