Maite Tapia is Associate Professor at the School of Human Resources and Labor Relations at
Michigan State University. Her research focuses on worker voice and movement building,
paying specific attention to workers’ social identities and systemic inequities. Her latest work (both with Tamara L. Lee) is Intersectional Organizing: Building Solidarity through Radical Confrontation (2023, Industrial Relations) and Confronting Race and Other Social Identity Erasures: The Case for Critical Industrial Relations (2021, ILR Review), which examines Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality within the field of industrial relations. Currently, she examines Amazon warehouse workers in the US.
