Larry Engelstein retired as SEIU 32BJ Executive VP in 2020 having worked there in various capacities starting in 1999. Before then, he was an Associate General Counsel at the AFL-CIO (1996-1999) and SEIU (1989-1996), an associate at labor law firms in Boston and Chicago, and a community organizer in Chicago (1976-1980). A New York City native, he received a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (1975) and a J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law (1983).
